Job Posting – Executive Director

Reporting to the Chair of the OTK BIA, the Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization in accordance with the strategic direction set out by the board of directors in the 2025 Business Plan https://downtownkemptville.com/otk-bia-business-plan-2025/

This position requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills including both written and verbal, effective marketing ability, computer and social media literate, ability to be self motivated and work effectively on a team as well as independently. General duties shall include but not be limited to:

  • Leadership
  • Operational Planning and Management
  • Community Relations/Advocacy
  • Marketing and Promotions
  • Business Retention and Expansion
  • Program Planning and Management
  • Human Resources Planning and Management
  • Financial Planning and Management
  • Risk Management
  • Other

Working Conditions:

  • Some work is conducted in an office environment requiring an ability to sit or stand, often in front of a computer monitor, for long periods of time and some work is conducted in the field, personally connecting with business owners so ability to be mobile is also required
  • Attend meetings and training as required
  • Some travel involved outside of the Municipality for meetings, conferences and training as required
