Old Town Kemptville BIA

Latest Edition of the Downtown Kemptville Spark – June 18

Hello Community Members,

From Your BIA – Support Local. Love Local.

As we head into Father’s Day weekend, there’s plenty happening in Downtown Kemptville! Join us THIS Sunday for the Father’s Day Car Display, presented in partnership with Hwy 43, and be sure to explore Art in the Park with the North Grenville Arts Guild. Both events are wonderful opportunities to get out, connect with neighbours, and enjoy everything our downtown has to offer. More information can be found [HERE] and below.

While organized events bring people together, the true magic of Downtown Kemptville goes far beyond what’s on the calendar. It’s found in the memories created between the events—the spontaneous moments, shared laughter, and connections that make our community special.

Last weekend, a lively group of ladies arrived downtown sporting bright red wigs, colourful muumuus, and infectious energy for a Mrs. Roper Romp. They spent the day exploring our shops, enjoying our businesses, and creating memories that had everyone smiling.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming the Reading Chipmunks, a local book club made up of wonderful young ladies who recently read books about kindness and came downtown to spread a little extra joy throughout the community.

That’s what Downtown Kemptville is all about. It’s more than a collection of businesses or a destination for events—it’s the heartbeat of our community. It’s where people come together to connect, discover something new, support local, and enjoy the small-town lifestyle that makes North Grenville such a special place to call home.

As we continue to grow, it’s these moments that remind us what makes our downtown truly special. Not the buildings or the events themselves, but the people who fill our streets with life, laughter, and a sense of belonging. Every visit, every conversation, every gathering—planned or spontaneous—helps weave the story of our community. Thank you to everyone who chooses to make memories in Downtown Kemptville. Together, we’re creating a vibrant, welcoming downtown that reflects the very best of North Grenville.
